Abstract: ABSTRACT As aspiring Civil Engineers, we, the researchers have investigated and determined the managerial skills, practices and different challenges that site engineers had encountered. This study aimed to help Engineers to be more effective in handling problems and arriving into more complex and effective solutions. In addition, this study has been widely open to develop their management skills and practices. It is given that management skill is a characteristic that an engineer should have to produce a successful projects and develop good communication and connection with the coworkers and clients. The study had given focus on identifying the experiences, challenges and strategies in terms of managerial skills given by the respondents which will be beneficial to almost everyone confined within the engineering field. Moreover, the study has identified whether how site engineers handle the hurdles they might experience during the project construction span and determine their flexibility on how they manage these hurdles. It is better to know your enemy for you to prepare how to defeat them. Same goes to having the idea on what challenges might happen on-site will help the Engineer to provide solutions either to avoid or prevent it. It can affect the overall performance of people on-site including the laborers, masons, contractors etc. There are things that we undeniably can't avoid but we can still do things to minimize the potential impacts. Through conducting the study for 30 respondents, it has come to a conclusion that some common issues within the construction sites for experienced by site engineers are difficult employee that ranks first and followed by poor communication and so on. Furthermore, the study recommends that conducting time to time trainings and seminars are essential in order to hone and improve the existing managerial skills for better connection of all parties.
